This place isn't especially good for veggies, but it is right on the canal, has a grassed beer garden and lovely location, and is excellent for bikes as well. Thus you may find yourself here quite easily, particularly if you are with a bunch of non-veggies. The owners are very friendly people too, and the kids are likely to love the place.
Check whether the cheese used is veggie or not, as we don't know. Vegans can have samosas or jacket potatoes, and ask if the veggie sausage in the veggie breakfast is vegan. There's a kids veggie pasta bolognaise which would be worth asking if it is vegan. You might have more choice if you ring ahead though.
